Tijana Kostic

Tijana Kostic earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade and she has been practicing law since 1996.

She was a member of the Coordination Legal Team of the Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia that provided legal aid before the courts in the territory of Kosovo and Metohia and now she is on the list of representatives of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

In the period from 2014 to 2018 she participated in the USAID project aimed at judicial system reform and the establishment of responsible government where she was a coordinator of the network of lawyers in Serbia who provided legal aid to domestic violence victims.

She is a lecturer at the Criminal Law Department of the Academy of the Bar Association of Serbia.

Tijana Kostic was a member of the expert team organized by OSCE to form a legislative framework for exercising the right to compensation. Furthermore, she participated in several round tables as a panelist and at international and regional conferences dealing with protection of rights of human trafficking victims and possibility of exercising their right to damage compensation.

Tijana Kostic has been a legal counsel of the Counseling Against Domestic Violence for many years.
